Happiness knows no goals

Once receiving the prize,

opening new holes.

Falling faster than you rise.

Happiness always just ahead

seeking higher becomes lows

Try for more, get less instead,

appetite only grows.

The more we receive,

the more we want

Ourselves we deceive

While temptations taunt

Happiness is elusive

Only the wise find grace

To receive is meant to give

otherwise life is but a chase.

No one wants to give up

Once power takes hold

but to hold is to corrupt

to let go the gift of gold.
